chaga alternative au café

Chaga-ccino recipe: the coffee alternative

Today in our garden... discover a secret healthy alternative to coffee! The chaga-ccino.

Reminder:
The Chaga mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) is a type of fungus that grows mainly on birch bark in cold climates and possesses extraordinary health benefits.

It is one of the medicinal mushrooms that grows on a tree, just like reishi or shiitake. Chaga can reach up to 30 years of age. It is considered the king of mushrooms.

Potential health benefits:

Firstly, it is an incomparable antioxidant. It has a 25% content of antioxidant pigments, which makes chaga one of the best antioxidants that exists. Just for comparison, reishi contains less than 2% antioxidants.

Furthermore, its superoxide dismutase (SOD) content is among the highest of any existing food or plant. Superoxide dismutase is a detoxification and antioxidant defense enzyme for when cells are exposed to oxygen.

Additionally, chaga compares to other extraordinary plants due to its rich content of polysaccharides, polyphenols, sterols, trace elements, amino acids, and naturally sourced melanin (skin pigment). According to research, it is arguably the best plant for fighting almost any type of cancer. It is anti-tumor, anti-viral, anti-metastatic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial.

Finally, chaga strengthens the immune system, improves the skin, protects the heart, balances blood sugar, eliminates allergies, strengthens the stomach and digestion, and triggers apoptosis (natural cell death) which occurs when the body fights cancer.

Why consume chaga-ccino?

We know that coffee has interesting benefits, but for people with a nervous system or adrenal glands that are exhausted (chronic fatigue), it is strongly recommended to avoid coffee.

Indeed, the chaga-ccino therefore constitutes a good healthy alternative for those looking to stop coffee consumption.
